Please join your local St. Mary/Christ the Teacher Conference at our
Friends of the Poor Walk through DeKalb's lovely historic and downtown district. 

When: September 24, 2022 9:30 AM
(Registration begins at 8:30 AM)

(on the west side of the church)

​Registration fees are $25 for each adult (18 & older) and $10 for each child (17 to 12). Children under 12 are Free. Registrants will receive a commemorative Walk tee shirt on the day of the event if they register by August 31.

Our 1.25-mile route will begin and end at the St. Mary Church parking lot, follow sidewalks along Fourth St., Lincoln Hwy. and First St., and not require crossing any busy streets.

All the funds raised through this Walk will directly benefit local individuals and families who are struggling. Our Society of St. Vincent de Paul St. Mary/Christ The Teacher Conference was established in 2004 to reach out to and assist our neighbors-in-need. This Friends of the Poor Walk is held to bring increased awareness to the local issues surrounding systemic poverty in our community.
