Thank you to everyone who participated in Give Dekalb County on May 6th!
Because of your tremendous support, our Society of St. Vincent de Paul Conference exceeded our Give Day goal of $15,000! Your generosity will help so many who are struggling know that they are part of a very special and caring community. God bless you! Have you heard about the Give Dekalb County fund drive? It takes place on May 6th and is a way to support non-profit organizations (like the Society of St. Vincent de Paul!) that are making a difference in our local community.
The benefit of giving to our St. Mary/Christ the Teacher conference through Give Dekalb County is that the more we raise, the more we receive from their Bonus Pool. The Bonus Pool is awarded to all participating non-profits based on the percentage of the overall Give DeKalb County total they raise. For example: If we raise 2% of the grand total, we will receive 2% of the Bonus Pool. If we raise 5% of the grand total, we get 5% of the Bonus Pool. Basically, the Bonus Pool ensures that every donation goes a little bit further during Give DeKalb County! To donate to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul through Give Dekalb County on May 6th, just click on the link below and designate St.. Vincent de Paul as the place you want your donation to go! https://www.givedekalbcounty.org/organizations/st-vincent-de-paul-st-mary-christ-the-teacher-conference The three pillars of Lent are prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. You may have already given something up for Lent, committed yourself to more prayer - and we have a way for you to participate in almsgiving this Lent!
Our St. Mary/Christ the Teacher community has set a goal to raise $7,500 this Lent to help our neighbors who are struggling during this time. This amount will help 7 families who are facing eviction be able to stay in their homes. Will you join us in helping our neighbors in need?
