Volunteering is the heart of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and our work assisting our neighbors in need. We are “a network of friends, inspired by Gospel values, growing in holiness and building a more just world through personal relationships with and service to people in need.”
By volunteering for St. Vincent de Paul or becoming a Vincentian, you can be sure you're making a difference locally for those in need. Below are some ways you can get involved to help alleviate the suffering of the poor.
Pray for the safety of our volunteers and neighbors in need
Join another volunteer in a neighbor home visit (currently conducted via teleconference)
Be a dispatcher for our helpline
Make follow-up calls to our neighbors seeking assistance
Help with mailings or fundraisers
Repair a car or provide transportation
Share our needs with your friends and family on social media
