The date for this year's Friends of the Poor Walk is set and we look forward to a wonderful day of friendship and fundraising with and for our neighbors in need! Registration is Free! Mark it on your calendars and we look forward to seeing you there!

(on the west side of the church)

Our 1.25-mile route will begin and end at the St. Mary Church parking lot, follow sidewalks along Fourth St., Lincoln Hwy. and First St., and not require crossing any busy streets.

All the funds raised through this Walk will directly benefit local individuals and families who are struggling. Our Society of St. Vincent de Paul St. Marys and Christ The Teacher DeKalb/Sycamore Conference was established in 2004 to reach out to and assist our neighbors-in-need. This Friends of the Poor Walk is held to bring increased awareness to the local issues surrounding systemic poverty in our community.
